Mission Trips/Servant Events

Hurricane relief -Each January, along with our sister congregations in the Northern Illinois District, the members of  Grace travels to Chauvin, LA to assist in hurricane re-construction efforts.  All are welcome and no particular skill set is necessary.  We will find plenty for you to do!

Nursing Home Worship-In an effort to serve those most often forgetten, Grace hosts worship service at various local nursing homes.  Volunteers are needed to help residents throughout the service and to provide much needed interpersonal contacts.

Circuit Servant Events- Also, along with our sister congregations in the Northern Illinois District, we sponsor various servant projects to help out local charities or people in need.  Events are publicized as scheduled.

Luth Youth- Teaching our youth that service to others is an integral part of their lives as Christians, Grace initiated an effort whereby our teenagers have the opportunity to serve the “senior saints” within our congregation and outside of our congregation who are in need of assistance.  Service events are held periodically throughout the year.

Women’s Club

Our Women's Club meets on the 4th Monday of each month to foster Christian love and fellowship, to provide programs for wholesome recreation and to encourage the support of local projects of the congregation and charitable endeavors within the Lutheran Church.
